Lost Sahuaro

Last week was exhausting. So exhausting that I didn’t even get a chance to post. I had 4 tests in a 24 hour period. Needless to say I didn’t get anything done for the film. Friday night I took a sabbatical from responsibility and hung out with Dan and a few other guys. We went and say night watch again (which was AWESOME) and then hung out at four peaks. Saturday I had to do some errands with molly and her parents. Had to buy the tickets to Disney land and get the car oiled and stuff. Saturday night I worked at the information desk and put my attention back into Freshmen. I completely finished the excel spread sheet thing. It’s actually really cool. It’s easy to navigate and it really helped me lock in the story. As I do the next rewrite and finalize the script it’ll be a really great tool. So when I got home on Saturday around 11pm I decided to watch the first episode of Lost. I had the first disc from netflix. I put it on and went to bed at 2am. I watched all four episodes. The next morning I walked to Hollywood video with my roommate and rented the entire first season. I watched lost from 1pm to 12am on Sunday and then after work on Monday from 5pm-11pm. I finished the fist season in about 1 and half days. It was really cool. I haven’t’ watched a show like that in a long time. I really enjoyed my self. But now that lost is done it’s time to really get back to freshmen before I got to Disneyland.

I plan to finish the character studies tonight and start the rewrite of the screenplay tomorrow. I hope to finish by Thursday afternoon. I’ve got auditions for this short I’m doing about date rape tomorrow and Thursday night. But I’ll be able to write while I’m at work.

I talked to the marketing specialist at reslife today and she didn’t seem as friendly as she did last November. In fact she didn’t seem very friendly at all. She wants me to send her a shooting schedule and as many details with what we’ll be doing as possible. Which is fine. But she also wants some scene from the script. This makes me nervous because of swearing and sexual content and stuff. I’ll have to seriously think about which scenes I send her. She was fairly defensive about using the sahuaro dorm. I really need to use sahuaro but I’m willing to keep on open mind. She suggested a dorm that’ll be operational but won’t have residents living in it. The situation sounds ideal but I don’t want to make a rash decision. I’ll scout the location this evening when molly picks me up form work and see how it looks.
